Renewable Energy Credits
Karbone is a top-ranked agent and marketer of RECs and SRECs in all Renewable Portfolio Standard (“RPS”), voluntary, and international REC markets. Karbone’s team has established a leading role in Spot, Forward, and structured REC contracts across PJM, NEPOOL, WECC, MISO, ERCOT, and in the Green-e, EcoLogo, and I-REC programs. The firm is recognized for structuring and executing commodity contracts ranging from vanilla spot deals to the most complex, long-term transactions in the market.
Power and Capacity
Karbone leverages a deep network of relationships with load serving entities, generators, power marketers, and voluntary end-users in all power pools across North America to source, structure, and negotiate optimal Power and Power Attribute off-take agreements on short, mid, and long-term bases. These services span both traditional power contracts and virtual Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) procurement. In addition to Power contracts in all markets, the team has developed the industry’s leading practice covering Capacity and other Ancillary Service markets across PJM, MISO, SPP, WECC, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO.
Renewable Fuels
Karbone’s Renewable Fuels team covers physical fuel sectors such as Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Renewable Diesel, Biodiesel, Hydrogen, and Electric Vehicles (EV), as well as Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs), Renewable Thermal Certificates (RTCs), and other Environmental Attributes (EAs) for clean fuels across North America. From our UK office, we cover Renewable Gas Guarantees of Origin (RGGOs), Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates (RTFCs), and other biofuel and biomethane certificates, including those certified by third party auditors.
